How To :: Word Your Invitations

How To :: Word Your Invitations

June 22, 2015

We get asked for wording templates all the time, but there is no wrong or right way to put together your invitations. Below are some of our tips for getting the words down just right.

- Traditions and etiquette have relaxed in recent years - formalities are only an option now. For example, guest names can't be printed through letterpress, but it is just as acceptable and adequate to address on the envelope, or add a belly tag. An easy step is to ensure the wording reflects you and your occasion (i.e. if you are having a more formal wedding, stick to eloquent language).

- It's your invitation, so make it your own (maybe with a friendly look over from a relative just to be sure).

- Keep the invitation simple. If you have a lot of information to convey, consider an additional information card.

- Make sure you give your guests a next step. How do they RSVP or contact you?

The options are endless.
